Changing the size of the desktop icon is got to be one of the easiest things to do in this world. The problem is that, for some, it is very hard to find the solution to the very simple problem. Every time you finish installing or upgrading to the latest Windows Operating System – Windows Vista or Windows 7, you will notice that the size of the Desktop Icons is larger than what you expected. For some people this is OK because they get to see the icons clearly but for some who are used to seeing small objects and want to occupy more space for more icons, they will surely try to change the desktop icon to the smallest size.
The Medium-sized icon is the default setting. This is a nice setting because it gives you a bigger view of the icons but it consumes a lot of space. If you are the kind of person that loves putting icons on the desktop, you are probably one of those people trying to search for solutions on how to change the icons from big to small. To do that, simply right click on the desktop, then put your mouse cursor over the word “View”, then choose “Small Icons”. If you want to make it bigger, obviously you have to choose “Large Icons”.
Choosing “Small Icons” will give you more space but the viewing of the image is not as good as Medium and Large. If you can see the words and icons in the image below, then the small icons is OK for you but if not, go with Medium or Large Desktop Icons.
